Lithuanian language courses

Vytautas Magnus University provides a great and affordable opportunity to spend an entire semester learning the Lithuanian language.

Deadline: January 28, 2021.

You can register to the Lithuanian language courses for the Spring Semester of 2020/21 (February 1 – May 21, 2021). The spring semester will start in a face-to-face online mode (via video conferencing and Moodle platform) because of the current pandemic situation in the country.

The Faculty of Humanities suggests 4 different language levels (Central European Time):

Lithuanian as a Foreign Language A1 (in English) Tuesdays and Thursdays 09:00–10:30

 or

17:00–18:30

Lithuanian as a Foreign Language A2 (in English) Mondays and Thursdays 

 

Tuesdays and Thursdays 

09:15–10:45

or

17:00–18:30

Lithuanian as a Foreign Language B1 (in the target language) Tuesdays and Thursdays 09:15–10:45

or

17:00–18:30

Lithuanian as a Foreign Language B2 (in the target language) Mondays and Wednesdays 09:30–11:00

The students who complete the course will receive 6 ECTS* credits. You can register to the course as a free-mover by writing a request to greta.garnyte@vdu.lt. 

Semester tuition fee:

Payments for the language courses are made through https://studentas.vdu.lt/. The price for 6 credits to be paid by students of other higher education institutions, secondary schools and other unclassified students is 295.10 €.

* European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS) is a standard for comparing the study attainment and performance of students of higher education across the EU and other collaborating European countries. One academic year corresponds to 60 ECTS-credits that are equivalent to 1500–1800 hours of study in all countries respective of standard or qualification type and is used to facilitate transfer and progression throughout the Union.
