Ethics Committee

The purpose of the Ethics Committee is to assist researchers and students of the Faculty of Humanities at Vytautas Magnus University (VMU) in assessing whether their planned research projects comply with the fundamental principles of research professionalism and ethics, to protect the interests of research participants, ensure the quality of research, and evaluate risks related to data management, guided by the ethical principles of reliability, integrity, respect, and accountability. The procedure and conditions for applying to the Ethics Committee are described in the Regulations of the Committee for the Assessment of Compliance of Research in the Humanities with the Fundamental Principles of Research Professionalism and Ethics at VMU (application forms are provided as DOCX attachments).

The committee appointed and approved to assess the compliance of research in the humanities with the fundamental principles of research professionalism and ethics consists of:
